The Killers brought the curtain downcast on this year's Leeds Festival with a headline set on the Main Stage tonight (August 24).

The Las Vegas band once again included a new song - 'Spaceman' - in their arrange, which was the same as last night's headlining set at Reading Festival.

Kicking off with 'For Reasons Unknown', isaac Bashevis Singer Brandon Flowers - wHO took the stage in a flashy green jacket - complimented the honest looks of the crowd.

"You have beautiful eyes and beautiful voices Leeds. Let's keep it going," he said, in front launching into a raucous version of the 2006 single 'Somebody Told Me'.

The band then played Joy Division cover 'Shadowplay', the song they contributed to the soundtrack for the 2007 pic 'Control'.

During 'When You Were Young', gold fireworks rained down from the roof of the stage, while afterwards in the set fan favourites 'Mr Brightside' and 'Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine' sparked wild scenes, with fans chanting the dustup back at the band and terpsichore and clapping.

Shadow King was a transient sports stadium rock/hard rock confect band that was lED by Foreigner vocalist Lou Gramm. When Gramm (born May 2, 1950, Rochester, NY) formed Shadow King in 1991, he was taking a result of absence from the multi-platinum Foreigner. The vocalist had been doing well as a solo artist -- his 1989 solo pleasure trip Long Hard Look was a big hit -- and it was indecipherable whether or not he would be vocalizing with Foreigner once again. Sounding a lap like Foreigner, Shadow King consisted of Gramm on jumper lead story vocals, Vivian Campbell on guitar, Kevin Valentine on drums, and Bruce Turgon on bass part. Shadow King was scarcely the number one time that Gramm and Turgon had worked with each early -- back in Gramm's pre-Foreigner years, they played in concert in a '70s band called Black Sheep (which shouldn't be illogical with the East Coast rap music grouping). Gramm was with Black Sheep until 1976, first as its drummer and and then as its lead isaac M. Singer; that yr, he left Black Sheep (which recorded a few albums for Capitol) to turn Foreigner's jumper lead vocaliser. Reunited in Shadow King, Gramm and Turgon became songwriting partners -- together, they co-wrote to the highest degree of the material on Shadow King's self-titled debut album, which Atlantic released in 1991. Shadow King's first album off out to be its last-place; by 1994, Graham was back with Foreigner -- and Shadow King was history.
